Boeing plane orders, deliveries slipped in April

Boeing‘s plane deliveries fell final month as handovers of its 787 Dreamliner planes stay paused after a collection of producing flaws.

The corporate delivered 35 jets in April, down from 41 in March, bringing its whole thus far this yr to 130. That trails rival Airbus’ 188 plane deliveries for the primary 4 months of 2022.

Boeing’s gross orders for April fell to 46 from 53 in March. Many of the new orders have been for 737 Max planes.

Prospects of each main plane producers have cited delays in getting new planes.

“Each Airbus and Boeing are experiencing rising challenges in delivering plane on time, primarily resulting from provide chain and labor points,” Air Lease CEO John Plueger stated throughout an earnings name final Thursday.
