Ford, UAW attain native labor deal to avert strike at Kentucky plant

Ford and a United Auto Employees native union reached a tentative deal on Wednesday to avert a strike on the automaker’s most worthwhile plant.

The UAW had threatened that just about 9,000 employees at Ford’s Kentucky truck plant would strike on Friday if native union calls for weren’t resolved.

The UAW mentioned Tuesday the deal addresses native points associated to expert trades, ergonomics and well being and security.

Ford mentioned in a press release it was “happy to have reached a tentative settlement.”

The Louisville plant is Ford’s largest by way of employment and income. Employees on the plant produce Ford Tremendous Obligation pickups in addition to Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigator SUVs.
